Status Quo are extending their “Last Night Of The Electrics” tour into 2017 with a headlining set at the Brentwood Festival.
The band recently played a run of UK shows, which were expected to be the group’s last ever electric performances. Due to incredible success and strong demand from fans, the tour has been extended. The Brentwood Festival is their only confirmed electric set in 2017 in the South East so far.
One of the UK’s most successful bands of all time, Status Quo has racked up an amazing 60 top 40 hits, including “Whatever You Want”, “Rockin’ All Over the World”, “Caroline”, and “In the Army Now”. Performing for over 50 years, Quo has spent an impressive 500 weeks in the official albums chart.
Brentwood Festival Director, Jason Jopson, says:
“We’ve had many requests to bring the band back to Brentwood, and are thrilled to have Status Quo on the line up. Their boogie-woogie rock is the perfect fit for our feel good, family friendly festival.”
The festival team extends its sincere condolences to Status Quo guitarist Rick Parfitt’s family, friends, fellow band members, management, crew and dedicated fans.
Brentwood Festival Co-ordinator, Laurie Edmonds, says:
“Rick Parfitt was a true roll-n-roll legend. We will be proud to pay tribute to Rick and his musical achievements when we host Status Quo in the summer”.
